Approach

Pilates is a holistic exercise method based on the teachings of Joseph Pilates, designed to elongate, strengthen and restore the body. Exercises are performed on a mat or various types of equipment including the Reformer, Cadillac, Tower, Chair, and Ladder Barrel.


Pilates by Dena is located in South Tampa, Florida and follows a classical Pilates philosophy based on the teachings of Joseph Pilates, which focuses on strengthening and stretching the entire body. We help our clients coordinate mind, body, and breath to develop sleek and functionally strong abdominal muscles, strong and supple backs, and overall alignment. 


All sessions are carefully structured around the client’s experience and ability. Clients will see improvement in balance, posture, coordination, strength, and flexibility.


Pilates by Dena currently has 7 part-time instructors offering solos, duets, and trios Monday through Saturday by appointment. Dena also offers a 450-hour comprehensive teacher training program for those looking to take their Pilates experience to the next level.
